Dr. Ali Hameed

Dr Ali Hameed, originally from south-east Melbourne, joined Gippsland Osteopathy & Sports Medicine Centre in early 2021 as an intern whilst completing his osteopathic studies at Victoria University.

This included a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) and a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy). Ali has also completed an additional Bachelor of Science degree majoring in physiology, a Honours research year focused on human movement, as well as further training in neuromuscular dry needling and myofascial cupping.

Ali has a strong sporting background in both the AFL and soccer codes, having played soccer at a semi-professional level in the National Premier League, as well as undertaking the role of Head Sports Trainer at Murrumbeena Football Club. This has contributed to his interest in diagnosing and treating sporting injuries.

Ali is passionate about communicating with clients to better understand their pain and how it is affecting their daily life. He values developing treatment plans that are client-centred and aimed at achieving their health-, sporting- or work-related goals.
